Our characteristics

The machinery industry is the foundation of industrial development, and mechanical engineering technology plays an important role in the country's economic development and social contribution. With the purpose of cultivating students’ innovative practical ability, enhancing students’ professional qualities, promoting their employment competitive power. The strong cooperation with industries, the innovation of science research is used as a blueprint for our credits, courses and extra-programs.

PSI education system

Special topics on practice

This course is built to train student how to solve a practical problem. The topics are either consulted by companies or small science research topic. This course is also a major required course from the department.

Factory internship program

This is a very first step to help student get familiar with the working environment in industry. The internship period is one year. Student stipend is paid following the regulation of Ministry of Labor. After the internship, student have opportunity to continue their profession at the company based on their performance and interest.

Industry visiting

In order to reduce the gap between the industry and education, factory visiting activity is held regularly every semester. Student have opportunity to learn and understand the practical situation as well as the working environment of factory. Student also have change to visit the international exhibition held in Taiwan to update the latest technology in the mechanical field.

International exchange

Student can apply for the international exchange program to our alumni university in Japan, France, Germany, United State… The international exchange program provides student with basic financial support for transportation, accommodation, and tuition fees. The program provides student the opportunity to learn more about other culture in the area and also introduce Taiwan culture to the world.

Advance teaching lab

In order to provide the best quality teaching program, our department is equipped with all necessary teaching laboratories (Machining workshop, Fluid Mechanics Lab., Solid Mechanics Lab., Automation Lab., Precise Measurement Lab., CAD Lab., Computer classroom…). In recent years, with the development of Industry 4.0, AI technology, green solution technology, we established some advance teaching lab with the support of Ministry of Education includes Precise Manufacturing Lab, Intelligent Artificial System Engineering Lab, Electrical Motorcycle Lab., PLC Lab., and Future of Drone Technology Lab.
