Features

The workshop technology gives the basic working knowledge for production of various engineering products. It explains the construction, function and the use of various working tools, measuring tools, equipment and machines as well as the technique of manufacturing a product from its raw material. To understand the subject and to develop the skill, one has to practice the workshop processes starting from simple models to complicated products.

Many of the aspects of workshop technique can only be acquired by experience by studying on the spot and by establishing contacts with experienced craftsmen. Manufacturing factory is established with the objective is to provide students the fundamentals about the process of manufacturing, use of hand tools an operation, and allied techniques converts an ordinary student of science into an engineer. Teaching objectives

Allow students to practicing with common mechanical manufacturing machines, hands-on work, improve students' learning ability and practical skill.

  1. Students able to understand different tool and equipment for workshop practice.

  2. Understand the function of manufacturing machines

  3. Acquired skills for operating the manufacturing machines

  4. Understand the process steps from preparation to fabricating a workpiece.

  5. Understand the safety precaution in the workshop
