Precision Manufacturing Laboratory is one of the Major Specialist Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
Precision Manufacturing Laboratory employs wide range of computer-based tools and techniques assisting engineers in design and manufacturing endeavors. Geometrical modeling, analysis, optimization, validation and simulation are some of the well-known concepts involved in the study of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

Mission

  1. Develop state of the art facilities related to mechanical engineering.

  2. Attract highly qualified student to the department.

  3. Produce quality human resources of high standard in mechanical engineering who can contribute favorably to the technological and social, economic development of the nation.

Teaching objectives

  1. Gain practical experience in handling 2D drafting and 3D modelling software systems.

  2. Study the features of CNC Machine Tool.

  3. Know the application of various CNC machines like CNC lathe, CNC Vertical Machining center, 3 axis rail CNC machines.
